Approx. 40-50 seeds/pkt (350 seeds/gram) Magic Fountains Mixed is a dwarf, wind tolerant delphinium ideal for the garden or containers that matures to only 75 cm in height. Also known as Bee Larkspur. As a bonus, you will find the widest range of colours available in any series to date. Attractive flowers all have a dark or light coloured centre “bee”. For many native and perennial plants, late fall is the best time to sow seed directly outside. Why you ask? Simply put, many of these plants produce seed that is viable but dormant. This means allowing seeds to naturally stratify over winter will “wake up” the dormant seed for best results. How to Grow Easy to grow, adaptable to most soils, trouble free and tolerant of heat and drought. Start seed 8 to 10 weeks early indoors in a soil-less mix. Chill seed for 24 hours prior to sowing. Germinate at 18° C then grow on under lights at cooler temperatures of 15-18° C before hardening off and transplanting to a sunny site. Germination occurs in 10-20 days.
